Mi interessa lo spazio in tutte le sue manifestazioni. Ho cominciato a studiarlo come termine filosofico nel 2018, quando stavo cercando di capire cosa significasse davvero parlare di utopia. Sono arrivato così a occuparmi di luoghi, di mappe, di cartografia e mi sono chiesto quanti sono e come funzionano i modi con cui noi esseri umani ci orientiamo nello spazio. Ci sono quelli più normali, come le mappe, che esprimono una storia millenaria di cartografia ed evoluzione delle categorie del pensiero; poi ci sono le pratiche, individuali e collettive, che usano lo spazio come il foglio su cui disegnare linee fini ed evanescenti capaci comunque di lasciare un segno indelebile sul territorio e in chi lo abita; e poi c’è l’agricoltura che produce cibo e vino, frutti che offrono una via d’accesso allo spazio che rimane per lo più nascosta, di difficile accesso, ma dove ho trovato molto di ciò che intendo con vita e con pensiero.
Faccio questo perché? Per passione e per scelta. Come? Principalmente attraverso la ricerca bibliografica e sul campo, che diventa materiale per scrivere saggi, articoli, brevi narrazioni. Da qualche tempo ho iniziato ad aprirmi a pratiche collettive sempre relative all’uso dello spazio.

I am interested in space in all its manifestations. I started studying it as a philosophical term in 2018, when I was trying to figure out what it really meant to talk about utopia. So I came to deal with places, with maps, with cartography, and I wondered how many are and how do the ways in which we humans orient ourselves in space work. There are the more normal ones, such as maps, which express a millennial history of cartography and evolution of categories of thought; then there are the practices, individual and collective, that use space as the sheet on which to draw fine and evanescent lines capable nonetheless of leaving an indelible mark on the territory and in those who inhabit it; and then there is agriculture that produces food and wine, fruits that offer a way into space that remains mostly hidden, difficult to access, but where I found much of what I mean by life and thought. Why do I do this? Out of passion and choice. How? Mainly through bibliographic and field research, which becomes material for writing essays, articles, short narratives. Some time ago I began to open myself to collective practices always related to the use of space.
